Anna Goodman Herrick is a queer, nonbinary, author and interdisciplinary artist. They were a guest speaker at 2026 West Hollywood Pride and a 2025 City of Los Angeles Commissioned Artist. In June 2026, Newsweek featured Anna as a leading voice in LGBTQ+ representation.

As a poet and performance artist, Anna has performed their poems, and texts from their installations, at the Emily Dickinson Museum; at Hauser & Wirth presented by the Los Angeles Review of Books and the Los Angeles Press; Artist Uprising; Bloomsday on Broadway; and more.

Anna is the author of A Speaker is a Wilderness (Monkfish, 2024), poetry that includes texts from Anna’s installations. Available everywhere books are sold.

Their work explores themes of sanctification, queerness, gender, ritual, embodiment, power, and access. Their visual and performance art often investigates text and typography as the physical body of narrative.

Anna has shared their work at Patagonia’s Earth Day, and created and performed new work for Radio Bloomsday (ft. Alec Baldwin and Jerry Stiller reading James Joyce and Samuel Becket). Their installations and performance art have shown at Root Division Gallery in San Francisco, the Alena Museum, and NEARCON in Lisbon, Portugal.

Anna has created work for television and branded content for Teen Vogue, Sony, ABC Family, Oprah Winfrey Network and MTV and shared their work towards collective liberation at the Library of Congress the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and in film, stage, VR, museums and galleries nationwide. They have guest taught on inclusivity at ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena. Amidst innovating in creative spaces, they have served as a chaplain on staff for hospices throughout Greater Los Angeles.
