Anna’s practice explores queerness, gender, embodiment, ritual, connection, sovereignty, and access. They work across performance, photography, printmaking, painting, text, video, sculpture, and installation. Uniting these disciplines, Anna’s work often investigates the relationship between the body and narrative, utilizing typography (as the physical body of narrative), and ceremony and camp/glam aesthetics, through a recurring vocabulary of gold, nostalgic nightclub and drag materials, reflective surfaces, saturated color, and formal contrast. They often use their own body in their work as a canvas.

Their practice subverts hegemonic, ritual, and pop-cultural iconography, challenging patriarchal and other repressive hierarchies of who and what is considered sacred. The result invites deeper engagement with the self and with each other.
