PERFORMANCE
“LISTENING TO ANNA READ THIS POEM MADE THE HAIR ON MY ARM STAND UP. I WONDER IF WE COULD MEASURE THE EFFECTS OF GOOD POETRY ON ELECTRODERMAL ACTIVITY.”
— TIMOTHY GREEN, EDITOR, RATTLE MAGAZINE
Anna has performed her poetry across the U.S., including at the Emily Dickinson Museum’s Phosphorescence Poetry Reading Series, presenting "contemporary creativity that echoes Dickinson’s own revolutionary poetic voice."
She has performed at the El Paso border for Artist Uprising with V (formerly known as Eve Ensler), at the Patagonia Store for Earth Day, Bloomsday on Broadway, and at the Theopoetics Conference.
She has read and performed her poetry at inspiring events, spiritual centers, retreats, bookstores, festivals, ceremonies, and conferences, for both intimate and large scale audiences.
THE AUDIENCE
My performances are deeply inclusive, inspiring, and for everyone. From gallery openings to opening for drag shows to a synagogue’s largest attendance and holiest day during High Holy Days, from conferences to bookstores to music festivals, I share my work for understanding we are all sacred, and our sacredness and celebration can be found everywhere in all of us. Together, we are reminded of our wholeness.
