Anna Goodman Herrick is an author, performance poet, and multidisciplinary artist whose work has been presented by museums, universities, literary organizations, and cultural institutions internationally. Their work explores themes of reverence, defiance, fearlessness, sanctification, and human rights.

Anna Goodman Herrick is the author of A Speaker is a Wilderness: Poems on the Sacred Path from Broken to Whole (Monkfish, 2024). Their recent visual art is included in the anthology Together We Rise: Voices from the Frontlines of Freedom (Daxson Publishing, 2026). They have new work in the anthology Assembly (9th House Press, Upcoming 2027).

Featured in Newsweek as a queer leader in LGBTQ+ advocacy and representation, Anna Goodman Herrick was a Guest Speaker at West Hollywood Pride 2026. In 2025, the City of Los Angeles commissioned Anna to create and perform new work.

Anna has guest taught, performed, and shared their work at: ArtCenter College of Design, Patagonia’s Earth Day, Bloomsday on Broadway (featuring Stephen Colbert), Artist Uprising at the El Paso border with V (fka Eve Ensler), Root Division Gallery, and NEARCON in Lisbon, Portugal. Anna created and performed new work for Radio Bloomsday (ft. Alec Baldwin and Jerry Stiller reading James Joyce and Samuel Becket).

Anna has been featured at the Emily Dickinson Museum’s Phosphorescence Poetry Series, presenting "contemporary creativity that echoes Dickinson’s own revolutionary poetic voice."

Their poetry appears in Rattle, The Los Angeles Press, The Ekphrastic Review, and more. They have incorporated their poetry, performance art, and interdisciplinary visual art at Root Division Gallery in San Francisco and the Alena Museum.

Anna has created work for television and branded content for Teen Vogue, Sony, ABC Family, Oprah Winfrey Network and MTV and shared their work towards collective liberation at the Library of Congress the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and in film, stage, VR, museums and galleries nationwide.

Amidst innovating in creative spaces, they serve an eldercare and hospice chaplain. They have served on staff for hospices throughout Greater Los Angeles.
