Anna Goodman Herrick is the author of A Speaker is a Wilderness: Poems on the Sacred Path from Broken to Whole (Monkfish, 2024). They work at the intersection of spirituality, sacred words, and human rights. They are a writer, filmmaker, interdisciplinary artist, educator, staff spiritual counselor, and public speaker.
Anna has performed their poetry across the U.S., including at the Emily Dickinson Museum’s Phosphorescence Poetry Reading Series, presenting "contemporary creativity that echoes Dickinson’s own revolutionary poetic voice."
They have performed at Bloomsday on Broadway, Patagonia’s Earth Day, and Artist Uprising at the El Paso border. Their recent poetry is included in the anthology Together We Rise: Voices from the Frontlines of Freedom (Daxson Publishing, 2026), Rattle, The Los Angeles Press, The Ekphrastic Review, Hevria Magazine, and Ritualwell.
Anna has created work for television and branded content for Teen Vogue, Sony, ABC Family, Oprah Winfrey Network and MTV and shared their work at the Library of Congress the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and in film, stage, VR, museums and galleries nationwide.
While innovating in creative spaces, Anna serves as a Spiritual Counselor, including for End of Life, Hospice and Bereavement. She is on staff for Hospice in Los Angeles. Dedicated to spiritual engagement, she teaches inclusion, allyship, sustainable peace building and trauma healing towards collective liberation across the US, and around the world.
